Frank Dello Stritto

Many films have a love/hate relationship with the theory of evolution.  Join us as Dr. Frank Dello Stritto leads us in an engaging discussion after the screening of the classic film The Abominable Snowman of the Himalayas (1957).  In addition, Dello Stritto will be selling his books!

The Abominable Snowman (aka The Abominable Snowman of the Himalayas) is a 1957 British horror film, directed by Val Guest and starring Forrest Tucker and Peter Cushing. The film is based on The Creature, a BBC Television play by writer Nigel Kneale, and follows the exploits of an English anthropologist with an American expedition as they search the Himalayas for the legendary Yeti. Kneale adapted his own television script into the film screenplay. Cushing, along with several other members of the cast, had also starred in the original version (the role of Tom Friend in the television play was taken by Stanley Baker)

Frank Dello Stritto writes extensively on 1930s-1950s movies, mainly horror movies. His previous books are "Vampire Over London - Bela Lugosi in Britain," "A Quaint & Curious Volume of Forgotten Lore - The Mythology & History of Classic Horror Films." and  "I Saw What I Saw When I Saw It - Growing Up in the 1950s & 1960s with Television Reruns & Old Movies." Frank's latest book "A Werewolf Remembers - The Testament of Lawrence Stewart Talbot," in which the movies' most famous werewolf tells his own story via his long-lost journals. Dello Stritto will be available to sign copies of his books before and after the evening's presentation.
